Makin locations is an award-winning Video Production Company, based in the UK. Since day one, we’ve been working with industry leaders in every genre and format, and pride ourselves on the professional, thorough, and, most importantly, creative services we offer.
OUR STORY
Our start came from our founder Nick Waldron. When Nick moved from being a unit manager of over ten years experience to a location support supplier in 2002, his team have been providing quality services for hundreds of movies, TV shows and advertisements around the world. Starting with a couple of gators, a couple of marquees and a few pieces of equipment bought at the end of “Band of Brothers”, Nick set about creating a location support company that would go on to work collaboratively on some of the biggest names in television and cinema. The company’s close connections with members of entire production crews, with transparency in requirements, timeframes and invoicing, has built a strong following throughout the industry.
Makin Locations has become a trusted and loyal brand for many movie and television production managers, location managers and line producers due to this emphasis on service and all round knowledge of what is best for the production. Even if the best option is not the most profitable for them, Makin Locations will only ever provide you with what you need to get the job done within budget.

Today, the inventory may have expanded and the staff numbers increased, but the same dedicated and personal service remains for all of Makin Locations’ customers. Whether it’s a single vehicle for a day or a crowd base with a fleet of 4x4s for six months, you can trust Makin Locations to deliver.
Our tight-knit core team of marquee erectors and experienced driving team backed up by a full-time mechanic and project manager as well as Nick himself, are dedicated to swift and efficient production support. Your Production will always have one point of contact in the office who will liaise and organise everything for you. On location, you will always have one point of contact who will manage our team on-site.
